Description / NAHAVAND 166*288
Nahavand is an ancient city located 150 kilometers south of Hamedan. The width of these carpets is usually equal to two lengths. They are knitted on a horizontal looms, where it is very difficult to knit a wide rug. Patterns are geometric, usually one medallion is used, which is surrounded by similar motifs on the background. The quality of the wool is excellent, the carpets are shiny and durable. The colour of the rugs is very specific. They use a rusty-brown and green colours on dark-blue background.
